Career Networking Event Sponsored by Sloan Leadership Fund
The Meredith Career Center and the Office of Student Activities and Leadership Development co-sponsored “Communicate Confidently: First Impressions Count,” a networking event for students. The event, which was held January 29, was attended by approximately 70 students.
Students were encouraged to attend a workshop held prior to the event. The workshop was designed to help students feel comfortable approaching the professionals who were attending the networking session, learn about types of questions to ask, appropriate information to share, and professional attire. More than 30 students attended the workshop led by Career Center Intern Samara Kuhn and Associate Director of Student Activities and Leadership Development Nikki Curliss.
