Meredith College will host the North Carolina
Dance Festival Concert, Jan 17-19. The event is co-sponsored
by Meredith, the North Carolina Dance Project, and the North
Carolina Arts Council. All performances are in Jones Auditorium
at 8 p.m. Call ext. 2857 for more information.
Dr. Rosalind Reichard, vice president for academic
affairs, will serve as the keynote speaker for Annual Drive-in
Conference of the First Year Experience Consortium of the
North Carolina College Personnel Association and the National
Academic Advising Association, on January 25, 2002. "Merging
Our Missions: Faculty, Staff, and Students Working Together"
is the theme of the conference.
Heidi LeCount, director of residence life, was
the guest speaker at Methodist Colleges National Residence
Hall Honorary induction ceremony. Her address was titled "Leaders
Make a World of Difference." LeCount and Sherry Ingram
of Methodist College presented "Supervising your Supervisor"
at the North Carolina Housing Officers and North Carolina
College Personnel Association Conference. LeCount also developed
and presented a workshop for students interested in student
affairs careers at the conference with Dawn Dillon from Peace
College.
Campus Police Officer Jean Trevathan was recently
named Merediths Campus Police Officer of the Year. Trevathan
was selected by her peers in the campus police office to receive
this honor.
