Fitness Assessment and Programming

Fitness assessments and programming are now available to WOW! members

Assessment includes: aerobic baseline measure, body composition, circumference, flexibility and muscular endurance

Programming includes goal setting, exercise plan and implementation strategies

Exercise Program Orientation. Upon completion of your assessment and programming appointment, you may schedule time in the fitness center to learn how to implement your aerobic and/or strength training plan
GROUP EXERCISE CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Cardio Interval – this class is about improving cardiovascular fitness and maximizing caloric expenditure. Experience how it feels to work at higher intensity levels for short intervals followed by intervals of recovery. Then we do it again to total a 30-40 minutes class guaranteed to leave you sweating and energized. All levels welcome - class size is limited to 10, is first-come-first-serve and is held in the Fitness Center.

Aerobics – energize your soul and get moving with aerobics. Format varies slightly from class-to-class but all modalities are low impact in nature and geared to all fitness levels.

Fitness Walking – we hit the road at all speeds in this multi-level class. Get away from your desk and enjoy the scenery for 30-35 minutes. Not currently offered.

Yogalates - combines a series of yoga poses and pilates exercises to promote an overall sense of well-being. It improves strength, endurance, flexibility, balance, and self-awareness. Breath is connected with each movement to increase energy and reduce stress. All levels welcome. Bring your own mat if you have one.

Pilates - A unique exercise regime designed to strengthen and balance the body. A movement based program which targets the deep postural muscles which in turn can help re-balance the body bringing it into correct alignment leaving it energized and stress free.

Power Flex - A complete strength training class that focuses on all muscles, one song at a time, and incorporates dumbbells, bands, stability and floor work.

Circuit Training - The best of both worlds - cardio and strength. Utilizing all the fitness center has to offer, you will follow a program that blends the use of cardio and strength equipment. On the first class you attend, you will be given a card to guide you (along with the instructor) through the workout and give you a place to track your progress along the way.
