Waddelow Conducts Oklahoma Haydn Festival

Assistant Professor of Music and Director of Instrumental Activities Jim Waddelow’s summer activities included conducting the second annual Oklahoma Haydn Festival in Oklahoma City.  The orchestra was made up of professional musicians from five states, and also included Meredith students Lance Creech, (Flute) Andrea McKerlie (Flute), and Emily McLawhorn (violin). He conducted the July Summer Stock Productions "Kiss Me Kate" for eight performances featuring Broadway actor Matt Govich.  In July, Waddelow conducted the festival orchestra of the Inspiration Point Fine Arts Colony Mummer Music Camp in Eureka Springs, Ark. The camp draws all-state level high school musicians from six surrounding states.
