What are Students’ Most Memorable Meredith Moments?

A student’s years at Meredith are filled with special experiences. For this issue of Parent Connection, we asked students to share their most memorable Meredith moments.

“Being in the [Meredith Ensemble Theatre] show Little Shop of Horrors. It was a great experience working with and getting to know so many different types of people.” — Nicole Benjamin, ’17

“My most memorable experiences at Meredith so far would have to be spending time with my Big Sis. We had so much in common we just clicked immediately and I enjoyed every moment I was with her.”—Jessica Boyd, ’16

“The Guardian Angel dance, a sophomore tradition. It was so much fun to have a night to dance and have fun with my dad. I have never had so much fun! It was great to spend time with him and to meet my friends’ fathers.”—Rachel Anne Phelps, ’16

“Ring Dinner. Traditions are such a big part of the Meredith community, and Ring Dinner is the one that I was looking forward to the most. It’s so fun to see a pretty black onyx every time I look at my hand!” —Sara Owens, ’15

“Class Day at the end of my sophomore year. It was an exciting and unforgettable day that I can’t wait to relive as a senior!”— Abigail Lorentzen, ’16

“Seeing the campus filled with snow and being out taking pictures with my closest friends.” – Daniela Carrillo Lopez, ’17

“One of many memorable moments was Camping-in-the-Courtyard with fellow students last spring. It was also very special to participate in a musical festival with the Meredith Chorale.  And attending lectures by speakers such as Jody Williams, Jeannette Walls, Morris Glass, and Chris Jordan! I wish I had attended more lectures. Meeting great people and hearing them speak is an amazing experience that often leaves long-lasting memories.” —Alla Akiyeva, ’16

“Cornhuskin’, because of the unity it brought among the classes. Sitting in the amphitheater with my sisters was so heartwarming.” – Melissa Jenkins, ’17
