Third Annual Diva Dash March 29

The Third Annual Diva Dash, sponsored by InterAct and the Meredith College Sociology/Criminology Club, will be held on Thursday, March 29, 2012, at 5:30 p.m. on the back lawn of Gaddy-Hamrick Art Building.

The Diva Dash, a kick-off event to raise awareness about sexual assault on college campuses, features a 50 yard sprint in high heels. The dash is open to women and men. There will be trophies and other prizes for the top three finishers.

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. A sexual assault survivor and from some other community partners will speak before the event closes with a walk around the Meredith Mile. There will be music, food and fun. This event is organized by the students of Sociology 231and the Sociology/Criminology Club in partnership with Interact of Wake County.

The Diva Dash counts as a convocation for Meredith College students.
