New to Meredith College this spring are USTA Play Days. Meredith College joins the United States Tennis Association (USTA) to offer new opportunities for youth players to learn to play. USTA Play Days are designed for players of all ages and abilities and introduce competition with a fun, low-pressure format. We place emphasis on participation and effort, instead of wins and losses. For a minimal fee, youth players ages 10 and under will enjoy a fun environment to sharpen skills or learn new ones under the direction of experienced tennis coaches here at Meredith. Learn more or register to participate

The 16th Annual Meredith College Golf Classic will be held at the Arnold Palmer signature course of Brier Creek Country Club Monday, April 7. Lunch will be served prior to the 1 p.m. shotgun start, and the day includes a putting contest, silent auction, snacks and cookout. The Meredith community is encouraged to support this event as a player, volunteer, hole sponsor or booster. Register online

This year we used proceeds from the annual tournament to refurbish the bleachers in Weatherspoon Gymnasium and added protective fencing and netting to the softball dugouts. Contact Tournament Director Fiona Barkley for creative opportunities to join the fun.
