Students Participate in the Week of the Young Child

Meredith Students are participating in two events celebrating the national Week of the Young Child April 14-20.

Meredith Advocates for Young Children officers Brittany Murray and Heidi Johnson and club members are collaborating with the Wake County Association for the Education for Young Children to host the regional conference for child development proessionals the morning of April 20 on the Meredith campus.

In addition, students in BK 350 kicked off the Week of the Young Child by planning and conducting story hours for preschoolers and their families at four regional Wake County libraries. Those students are Haley Bateman, Cierra French, Tyler Gresham, Grace Maddrey, Jessica Matijow, Laura Pace, Jessi Perry, Lauren Symonds and Malissa Wiggins. The MAYC faculty advisor is Paul Winterhoff and the the BK 350 instructor is Diane Strangis.
