Stage Production of Blood Done Sign My Name 3/24/11

A stage production of “Blood Done Sign My Name” will be presented at Meredith College on Thursday, March 24, 2011, at 7 p.m. in Jones Auditorium. The production brings to life Tim Tyson’s bestselling memoir of civil rights struggles in Oxford, N.C.

The performance will be followed by a Q&A featuring Tyson and performers from the show.

Admission is free. Donations gratefully accepted to benefit the Methodist Federation for Social Action.

The performance is presented by The Thomas F. Staley Foundation Lecture Program.

Tim Tyson to Speak at Chapel Service The day prior to the performance, “Blood Done Sign My Name” author Tim Tyson will be the speaker for Meredith’s weekly chapel service on Wednesday, March 23, at 10 a.m. in Jones Chapel. This service is free and open to the public.

Both the chapel service and the play qualify as academic/cultural events for general education.
