On Wednesday, February 5, you may notice more excitement on campus than the average winter day. That is because all students will have the opportunity to participate in a fun-filled afternoon of sledding and playing in the snow with friends.
Snow Day is the official kickoff event for the 1891 Club, Meredith College’s Student Alumnae Association. Students are invited to attend this free event from 4 P.M. – 7 P.M., which will take place at the Meredith Beach (near the volleyball court and conversation pit). In addition to romping in the man-made snow, our angels will enjoy live music, warm winter treats, and have the opportunity to win amazing door prizes!
The 1891 Club will serve as a vital resource for students during their time at Meredith. The purpose of this membership organization is to provide additional opportunities to students interested in:
This organization will also serve as an avenue for the Office of Alumnae Relations and The Meredith Fund to show our students the many ways they can remain engaged after graduation, including:
We are eager to connect with our students as future alumnae; we understand the importance of educating them about these opportunities while they are undergraduates. We believe this organization is the perfect recipe to keep Meredith College Going Strong! Students will soon be learning about the importance of philanthropy through the 1891 Club. Now is a great time to make your gift and show your support of our campus family.
