Meredith College’s 2011-12 International Film Festival continues on October 25 with “Of Gods and Men.”
In North Africa, a community of Christian faithfuls is living in harmony with the welcoming but destitute Muslim community. Across different faiths, friendship and support are strong. But the land is torn between terrorists and the brutal state army. Can the French monks live their faith to the end? FRANCE/2010 120 mins. In French and Arabic with English subtitles. Directed by Xavier Beauvois.
The film will be introduced by Associate Professor of Religious and Ethical Studies Margarita Suarez.

All screenings are free and open to the public and are held in Kresge Auditorium. Refreshments are served at 6 p.m. and film screenings begin at 6:30 p.m.
The series is coordinated by the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures, and sponsored by the Meredith College Diversity Council, the Alliance Française of Raleigh- Durham-Chapel Hill, the Office of International Programs, the School of Arts and Humanities and the Dept. of Foreign Languages and Literatures at Meredith College.
