Meredith College's MBA program welcomed SAS Vice President of Human Resources Jenn Mann on November 3, 2011. Mann, a Meredith College alumna, presented the 2011 School of Business Distinguished Speaker Series Lecture.
Jenn Mann joined SAS in 1998, working closely with executive leadership on employee performance and organizational effectiveness initiatives. Promoted into management, she led a team of HR staff members who supported more than 3,500 employees and 400 managers in Worldwide Marketing and Research and Development. In 2008, she was promoted to her current role as Vice President of Human Resources (HR) where she is responsible for developing and guiding SAS' HR vision and articulating the organization's strategy to help acquire, develop, reward, and retain the best talent.
Mann leads a global HR organization that acts as stewards of the SAS culture and engages a global workforce of over 11,000 employees with diverse talents and skills.
Known for leading change, she aligned the HR organization with the business to drive results to help SAS continue to achieve success. SAS has been ranked on the FORTUNE 100 Best Companies to Work For® list since the list's inception and has been ranked number one for the last two years garnering accolades across the globe for its workplace culture and commitment to innovation.

Prior to joining SAS, Mann served as the HR Director for Micron CMS, a growing start up in Research Triangle Park, NC. During her 19 year career in Human Resources she has worked in many industries including high tech manufacturing, healthcare and academia. Mann received her bachelor degree in Psychology and Business from Meredith College. When she is not working, she spends time with her husband and two children hiking and enjoying the beach.
The purpose of the lecture series is to provide Meredith MBA students with the opportunity to meet outstanding business leaders and to explore pertinent issues affecting business today.
