Presidential Inauguration Viewing

On Tuesday, January 20, Meredith community members can view the inauguration of President-Elect Barack Obama and Vice President-Elect Joe Biden in the Cate Center’s second floor lounge area from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.

There are additional ways for the campus community to watch the inauguration. The event will also shown live in Kresge Auditorium, and Belk Dining Hall, Carlyle Campbell Library and Harris Lobby will have television sets tuned to the inauguration. Media Services will have the broadcast available in the Library Digital Media Room (LDMR) by the end of the day on January 20.

Interested individuals may also participate in a discussion period after the inauguration. This event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be available.

The inauguration viewing is sponsored by the History and Politics Club, the Dean of Students Office and the Office of Commuter Life and Diversity Programs.
