Cornhuskin’ Event Information for Faculty and Staff

Looking forward to Cornhuskin' this year? Meredith students love to see their faculty and staff come out to support them for the Cornhuskin' festivities. Cornhuskin’ will be held Friday, Nov. 1, beginning with the parade on front drive at 3:30 p.m., and the class competition at 6 p.m. in McIver Amphitheater.
Faculty and staff will receive an email on Monday, October 14 with instructions to request seating in the McIver Amphitheater for Cornhuskin'. RSVPs are due Monday, October 21. Please note that climate controlled seating will also be available in Jones Auditorium. Look out for the email on October 14, and Happy Corn Season!

Are you interested in hiring a Meredith student for a part-time tutoring, babysitting, housesitting or pet-sitting position?
Meredith faculty/staff, alumnae and residents in the surrounding community may request Meredith students for babysitting, pet-sitting, housesitting and tutoring positions. The first step is filling out the job form on the Office of Financial Assistance website. Please select the link "Child, Pet, or House-Sitting Job Opportunity Form" or "Tutoring Job Opportunity Form". After this document is filled out and submitted back to our office at firstname.lastname@example.org, we will post the document on Blackboard. Students will directly contact you if they are interested in the position.

Meredith College Earns Recognition from Honor Society
Meredith College has received recognition from the National Council of Alpha Lambda Delta for an exceptional academic year in 2012-13. The College earned two awards from the organization, which is the academic honor society for first year students.
The College received the 2013 Delta Bronze award for achieving a 22 percent increase in chapter membership from 2011-12 to 2012-13. Meredith also received the 2013 Alpha Silver Award, in recognition of having a chapter yield of 83%, which means that 83% of the students invited to join Meredith’s chapter elect to do so.
Alpha Lambda Delta is an honor society for students who have maintained a 3.5 or higher GPA and are in the top 20% of their class during their first year or term of higher education. The organization will celebrate its 90th anniversary in 2014.
