President Jo Allen Named “Incredible ECU Woman”

Meredith College President Jo Allen was inducted into East Carolina University’s “Incredible ECU Women” on October 10, 2013. The event was presented by the Women’s Roundtable at East Carolina University. Allen received a master’s degree at ECU in 1983 after earning her undergraduate degree from Meredith.

Allen was one of ten women in the 2013 class, joining the 106 current members. “The common thread is you are all leaders,” said Women’s Roundtable Chair Valeria Lassiter. “You bring honor to ECU.”

Allen was inducted in the education category, and participated in a panel of ECU alumnae who shared their perspectives on leadership and service.
