Meredith Student to Present at United Nations Event

Meredith College senior Marzia Nawrozi is one of five North Carolina college students who will present at the 57th United Nation’s Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) in New York City next month.

Nawrozi is earning a degree in international studies and also minoring in political science at Meredith College. Her topic for the CSW is “Violence Against Immigrant and Refugee Women in NC.”

The students are sponsored by the nonprofit WomenNC. They previewed their UN presentations at the NC State University Club on February 21, 2013, as part of their WomenNC Fellowship.
