Meredith Group Performs in Sansepolcro Festival

While studying abroad in Meredith’s Sansepolcro, Italy, location students participate in local events as much as possible. A recent example is the Festival of Gelato, during which a Meredith College music ensemble performed Italian chamber music.

The group (shown left to right) Emily McLawhorn, Jessie Dresser, Michelle Maiden, Mary Royall Hight, Ashlee Pemberton and Assistant Professor of Music Jim Waddelow (director).

Fourteen Meredith College students are participating in Meredith’s summer study abroad program in Italy and Switzerland.

The program, directed by Associate Professor of History Greg Vitarbo, provides students with an introduction to European culture with a focus on art and architecture. Courses include Warfare, Culture and Social Change in Western History, Music Appreciation and Arts, Artifacts & Culture - the Continent.
