Meredith Ensemble Theatre to Present “Step on a Crack”

Meredith Ensemble Theatre will present “Step on a Crack” by Susan Zeder, November 8-10 at 7 p.m. and November 10-11 at 3 p.m. in Studio Theatre of Jones Hall.

“Step on a Crack” is a theatre for youth piece recommended ages 10 years and up. The play explores a young girl who lives happily with her widowed father until he remarries and brings a stepmother into their lives. The girl, Ellie, and her imaginary friends, Frizbee and Lana, launch into a fantasy world as she seeks to escape real life problems. Only by running away and discovering what it is really like to be alone does Ellie begin to come to terms with herself and her own need for a mother.

Tickets: Free for Meredith students, faculty and staff. $5 for children, students and seniors, $10 for adults. Reservations can be made by calling 919-760-2840.
