Meredith Donates Fashion Show Proceeds to InterAct

The Meredith College Fashion Merchandising and Design program has donated the proceeds from its spring 2011 fashion show to InterAct of Wake County.

The donation of $1,600 was given to InterAct this month. InterAct is a private, non-profit, United Way agency that provides safety, support, and awareness to victims and survivors of domestic violence and rape/sexual assault.

The funds were generated by the College’s annual fashion show. Eleven student designers from Meredith College presented their designs in a fashion show called “Cityscapes” on April 16, 2011. Students presented 15 of their original designs in the show, which was held at the top of the Captrust Building near Raleigh’s North Hills.
