Meredith College/FuHsing School Partnership

Through July 23, Meredith College is hosting the 2nd Annual Meredith College Global Education Initiative program with the Taipei FuHsing Private School from Taiwan. The initiative is a partnership that brings young international students and others to the Meredith campus for recruitment and global awareness. The program dates for the FuHsing School are July 1-23, 2009.

Thirty-seven participants from Taiwan’s FuHsing School are taking part in the residential program at Meredith. A variety of academic subject areas help the Chinese students to focus on English language proficiency. This year’s topics include science and technology, American culture and history, and sports. Students will have opportunities to experience American customs, participate in an active learning environment and gain a better understanding of “real life” in America.

Danny Green, Meredith’s associate vice president for enrollment, is serving as the MC Global Education Initiative Program director. Many thanks to the Meredith College community for welcoming the participants to the campus.

For further information, visit the program office in 105 Johnson Hall, or write to MCGEI@meredith.edu.
