Meredith College Earns Recognition from Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society

Meredith College has received recognition from the National Council of Alpha Lambda Delta for an exceptional academic year in 2012-13. The College earned two awards from the organization, which is the academic honor society for first year students.

The College received the 2013 Delta Bronze award for achieving a 22 percent increase in chapter membership from 2011-12 to 2012-13. Meredith also received the 2013 Alpha Silver Award, in recognition of having a chapter yield of 83%, which means that 83% of the students invited to join Meredith’s chapter elect to do so.

Alpha Lambda Delta is an honor society for students who have maintained a 3.5 or higher GPA and are in the top 20% of their class during their first year or term of higher education. The organization will celebrate its 90th anniversary in 2014.
