Meredith Athletics Offering Tennis, Basketball, Soccer and Volleyball Summer Camps

Tennis camps are the latest summer camp options offer by Meredith’s Avenging Angels athletics department.

Day and evening tennis camps have been added to a full slate of offerings from Avenging Angel coaches, including basketball, soccer and volleyball summer programs. Click here for registration information.

The weeklong tennis day and evening camps begin June 17 with registration open immediately for interested players. Both weeklong camps are designed to improve player confidence on the court with a focus on fundamentals, stroke technique and court strategy through drills, fun activities and match play.

In addition to tennis, Meredith will also offer basketball, soccer and volleyball summer camps. Head Women's Basketball Coach Melinda Campbell will host a weeklong day camp in July for middle school girls. The small camper-to-staff ratio will allow for intensive fundamental skills and strategy training in Weatherspoon Gymnasium.

Women's Soccer Assistant Coach Ashley Riggs will host a weeklong day camp in June providing technical and tactical skills training in a fun and challenging environment for girls ages 8 to 17. The half day soccer camp in July focuses exclusively on the development of the basic soccer skills needed to become a player who is more accurate, precise and comfortable with the ball. Both sessions will be held on the Meredith turf field.

The annual volleyball day and overnight camps will be held in Weatherspoon. Head Volleyball Coach Fiona Barkley will lead each session scheduled for July. Both camps will focus on fundamental volleyball skills using fun instructional techniques and competition. The day camp is geared towards beginning and intermediate players, while the overnight program enhances skills of intermediate and advanced level players.
