Meredith Art Student Volunteers Prepare for 7th Annual Sparkcon

Art students from the 3D Design course taught by Associate Professor of Art Lisa F. Pearce are volunteering at the Visual Art Exhchange to usher in this year's 7th Annual SPARKcon.

"SPARKcon’s “creative potluck” of SPARKs or creative themes such as art, music, film, fashion, geek, circus, etc. is put together by passionate individuals who volunteer their expertise and are deeply embedded in a specific local scene. Using a combination of networking and open calls for participants, organizers create diverse and representative events to show off local talent and connect disparate creative scenes."

The event lasts from Thursday Sept. 13 through Sunday, Sept. 16 with over 200+ shows and events, over 1,700 artists and performers and over 20 venues. With over a dozen "sparks" to choose from such as artSPARK, theatreSPARK,tastySPARK, musicSPARK you'll have no trouble finding something to inspire and entertain the creative side of yourself.
