I Work Here—Why Should I Make a Gift to Meredith?

“I signed my first pledge card to Meredith in 1987 and have continued to support various programs and scholarships at Meredith through my donations. It makes me feel good to know that my gifts can make a difference in the lives of our students. As a department head, I know first-hand what a difference the generosity of our donors make in the quality of our programs.”

“I give to Meredith because Meredith gives to me. I have a great job, a wonderfully supportive community to work with every day, and programs and opportunities for enrichment that I would not have anywhere else. All of these things are above and beyond what the College provides the students who choose to come to Meredith and they cost money, so I think it’s important that we, as staff and faculty, show our support and appreciation however we can. It doesn’t take a lot to make a big impact, especially when we come together as a campus community.”

“I am fortunate to be a member of the Meredith College community and to be on campus, among colleagues and students, almost daily. Every day I witness the positive, powerful and sometimes astounding changes that a Meredith College education, and our distinctive Meredith College experience, quietly works in students' lives. Clearly, this metamorphosis cannot be ensured for students today and tomorrow with good will or pleasant wishes alone. Money is required. And so, for many years now, I have given what I can to the Meredith Fund.”

“Since joining Meredith in 2004, Meredith has provided me with many opportunities to make a difference by working directly with students. I’ve also enjoyed collaborating with faculty and staff in preparing our students for their life goals. The Meredith Fund allows us to show that we believe in our students’ potential. A robust giving program demonstrates the strength of our institution, faculty, and students. Please join me in giving to the Meredith Fund.”

To join your colleagues and make a gift of any size to Meredith, please visit ourFaculty and Staff Giving Initiative webpage.

Faculty and staff participation percentage is a consideration for corporations and foundations when deciding whether to award Meredith College with funding for scholarships, professorships, or major college projects. Making a gift is another opportunity to demonstrate our own commitment to the importance of Meredith for our students and our colleagues.

Thank you for helping us reach 38% participation in this year’s giving initiative. If 41 more Meredith employees make a gift to the College this year, we’ll reach 50%!
