Commemorate Earth Day 2011 at Meredith College

Meredith College will commemorate Earth Day 2011 with a variety of events scheduled April 14-27.

Thursday, April 14, 12:30-2 p.m., Carlyle Campbell Library
Meredith’s Celebrating Student Achievement mid-day showcase highlights interactive and engaging exhibits featuring the variety of student achievements connected with Meredith’s 2010-2011 campus theme, Critical Thinking for Critical Times. Stop by to see a variety of student projects with environmental and sustainability themes.
Coordinated by the Office of Student Leadership & Service and the Sustainability Office

Tuesday, April 19, 3:30-5:30 p.m., Belk Courtyard
Students will highlight creative reuse with items available from the Daisy Trade and a crafting project that creatively repurposes magazines. Join us for food and music! Students will be collecting unwanted towels, clothing and blankets to donate to a local charitable organization.

Tuesday, April 19, 5-7 p.m., Three Sisters Garden
Join a spring clean-up of the campus Three Sisters organic garden and edible landscape as these spaces become productive over the summer.
