Best-selling author Khaled Hosseini will visit Meredith College as part of a Quail Ridge Books event co-sponsored by Meredith’s Friends of the Library on Saturday, June 15, 2013.
The author of “The Kite Runner” and “A Thousand Splendid Suns,” Hosseini’s latest novel is “And the Mountains Echoed.” Frank Stasio, host of WUNC Radio’s “The State of Things,” will interview Hosseini on stage in Jones Auditorium.
The ticketed event will begin at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m., and seating is general admission.
Hosseini is a Goodwill Envoy to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, the UN Refugee Agency, and the founder of The Khaled Hosseini Foundation, a nonprofit which provides humanitarian assistance to the people of Afghanistan.

To obtain a ticket, you must purchase “And the Mountains Echoed” from Quail Ridge Books.
Cost: $30 for 1 book/1 ticket; $37 for 1 book/2 tickets. If additional tickets are desired, an additional book purchase is required. A ticket serves both as admission ticket to the program and reserves a place in the signing line after the event.
