Alumna Reports from Liberia for The Washington Times

Meredith alumna Christina Holder, ’02, is reporting from Liberia for “The Washington Times.”

Holder’s articles are about how protracted civil war, which ended in 2003, has affected life in Liberia. Her most recent report, “In Liberia, youth bikers chase cash” was published in the paper’s June 4 edition. The story follows the entrepreneurial spirit of young people in Liberia who make money as motorcycle couriers.

Holder was editor of “The Meredith Herald” when she was a student.
