Alumna Involved in Record-Setting Food Drive

Meredith College alumna Sue Anne Lewis, ’04, was the primary organizer for a food drive that set a new Guinness World Record for Largest food drive in 24 hours - single location.

Lewis is a student life instructor at the N.C. School of Science and Math in Durham, one of the partners in the record-setting project.

To set this record, 559,885 pounds of food was collected on March 5, 2011. Meredith College's Office of Residence Life supported the effort by collecting 241 pounds of food.
