2009 Celebrating Student Achievement Day April 23

Meredith College will hold its ninth annual Celebrating Student Achievement Day on Thursday, April 23, 2009.

On this day classes are cancelled so that the Meredith community can celebrate students’ successes during the academic year. Conference sessions, poster presentations and exhibits highlight student research and scholarship across the disciplines. Dance, music, and the visual arts will also be featured.

Two awards ceremonies will recognize academic and leadership achievement. The new Student Government Association officers will also be installed.

A highlight of the 2009 Celebrating Student Achievement Day will be a Sustainability Showcase, celebrating the College’s environmental awareness efforts. This session will be held from 1 p.m. – 2 p.m. in Carlyle Campbell Library. In addition, student research presentations that have a sustainability focus are indicated in the program of events.

Lunch in the courtyard is free to meal ticket holders and $5 for guests. All events are open to family, friends, and the community.
