Nyssa Tucker cruises through Istanbul

Honors junior and biology major Nyssa Tucker is studying in Copenhagen this semester, but she recently took advantage of a break for travel to Istanbul. The following is an excerpt from her travel journal:

'Last week I was in Istanbul, Turkey. Alone for four days. All I had for company was the 10 lb gnome, Herman, that I brought along to photograph in front of scenic locations. Within my first two days I had seen the sights of Istanbul set against a gloomy sky, had lunch on the Asian side of the city, and had ridden about every form of public transport that the city of Istanbul has to offer. And then it happened. I dated a Turkish carpet salesman.

'The picture is from the inside of the Hagia Sophia, and the green disk behind me is 9 meters in diameter. FANCY.'
