| Okay. Some of these are not
weapons. They were used for hunting, or for cutting leather --
things like that. What do these stone blades tell us? When did
the bow & arrow get to the Southeast? Before the bow, how did people
hunt game? Tell us about some other ways Southeastern Indians hunted --
ever heard of a blowgun. Pick this topic and you have to demonstrate
the effectiveness of a blowgun -- in class! What about tools for
agriculture? There's a lot to explore here, but tell us about why
stone blades are important to archaeologists (like for dating
sites...) But back to weapons -- what kind of weapons did Southeastern
Indians use?
Just remember: they are not all
arrowheads! Tell us about this important part of Southeastern
culture...
