| The creation of the syllabary had a huge impact on the
Cherokee, as a people. Very soon they had their own newspaper, the
Cherokee Phoenix, written in part in the Cherokee language. Who
founded this paper? Where was it published? How was it
published? What was in the paper & what does that say about the
Cherokee at the time of the Removal? Whatever became of the original
printing press -- is it in a museum somewhere? Are they still
publishing the Phoenix? We need an expert on this... |
