Meredith College seeks to maintain an environment that is supportive of all faiths and ideals. The College’s campus chapel staff provides guidance for the development of religious programs on the campus as well as a pastoral presence for the campus community.

Chaplain Sam Carothers is available to the College community for counseling pertaining to religious questions, religious vocations, and personal problems. The ministerial staff, led by the chaplain, offers lectures, programs, small group and counseling opportunities for the campus at large.

Students seeking help in finding a place of worship in the Raleigh community may contact the campus ministry staff for help. Regardless of one's faith heritage, the staff is available to provide help to students as they seek a faith community with which to affiliate.

Meredith offers weekly worship services on Wednesdays at 10 a.m. in Jones Chapel. These services are open to the entire campus community. Students are invited to visit with the staff, make use of the Jones Chapel Meditation and Reading rooms. We encourage you to come by the office to tour the chapel and to inquire about programs being offered.
