Welcome to the Counseling Center!
College is a time of transition, reflection, change and growth – both academic and personal. The Counseling Center is a safe place to talk about anything you want! And all of our services are free and confidential.
We offer students a safe place to work through individual challenges and stressors. We provide the following services:
- Individual, short-term counseling
- Support groups
- Crisis interventions
- Disability services
- Psychological consultation
- Outreach and training
- Resources and referral
Our staff members respect and work with all students. We honor diversity of culture, color, religion, gender identity, size and disabilities. We participate in the SafeZone program. We also provide information and referral services for staff and faculty.
Our Mission: To support and encourage students, as well as the entire Meredith Community, to grow emotionally, socially and academically.
Our Goal: To teach those who seek services how to cope with the challenge of college and life in a healthy, productive manner.
How to Contact Us
If you are a faculty/staff needing to consult with our office about a student please feel free to use our consultation times Mondays and Fridays at 10:00. In addition we offer our daily 1:00 crisis hour for students as well. Faculty/staff are welcome to call during the 1:00 hour, however a student in crisis will take priority. Please be aware that because of confidentiality we are unable to disclose information about a student without the students written consent.
