The Meredith Supply Store reopened on July 18 after undergoing renovations. Mary Ann Reese, the store manager, said the changes were designed to make the store brighter and more welcoming.

The most noticeable change was the removal of one of the store’s display windows. Now, students will be able to see directly inside the store as they enter the Cate Student Center. Other changes made include new carpet, fresh paint and all new wood fixtures and new wood paneling on the walls.

Renovations took place from June 27 through July 17, during which time the store staff temporarily worked from the store’s supply room.

The renovations of the store were supported by Follett Higher Education Group, which is a family-owned bookstore provider manages more than 750 bookstores nationwide and provides management systems, support services, and used textbooks to over 1,800 independently managed bookstores.

Meredith Supply Store summer hours are Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., and Fridays, 8 a.m.-noon.
