Meredith College’s participation in the Initiative to Educate Afghan Women (IEAW) was featured on the latest edition of NBC-17’s public affairs program “At Issue.”

On the Sunday, Sept. 2 show, Meredith students Benafsha Noori and Sweeta Hashimi were interviewed along with Vice President for College Programs Jean Jackson.

Meredith is the only N.C. college or university to participate in the IEAW program. Noori, a sophomore, and Hashimi, a freshman, are the first students to attend Meredith through the IEAW partnership.
