Meredith Offers Web Seminar Examining Environmental Issues
The Meredith College community will have an opportunity to participate in a web seminar and discussion called “Engaging Students in Creating a Sustainable Future,” on Tuesday, March 13 from 1 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. in Harris 214.
The web seminar is part of the Student Government Association (SGA) “Campaign for a Greener Meredith” effort. The event qualifies as a convocation / cultural event for general education, and CEU Credit is available.
This free event, part of the American College Personnel Assocation College Student Educators International webinar series, is open to Meredith students, faculty and staff. The web seminar will feature national experts, Anthony Cortese of Second Nature and Debra Rowe of the U.S. Partnership for Education for Sustainable Development.
Cortese and Rowe will discuss best practices, national and
international strategic initiatives, and share resources to help colleges to promote sustainability and engagement for liveable communities.
This event is sponsored by the Student Government Association’s Student Life committee and the Office of the Campus Minister, with support from the Office of Student Development and Leadership Activities and Media Services.
