Visual Identity Elements

Meredith Seal and Wordmark
Meredith's seal is the official "symbol" of the College and should be used formally on college-wide event programs, documents, diplomas, certificates and programs for official functions (convocations or commencement). The seal may be printed in the College color, Pantone 201 burgundy, or black, or it may "reverse out" to white onto any color. The seal may not be manipulated or changed in any way.

The Meredith College wordmark is the official identifier for the College. It should be prominent on every project that represents the College and should always be reproduced from authorized art work, which is available in camera ready and electronic formats in the marketing and communications office. The wordmark should always be legible, and it must be in an area of isolation that is clear of other elements, either typographic or graphic. The wordmark may not be manipulated or changed in any way. As with the seal, the wordmark may be printed in the College color, Pantone 201 burgundy, (shown) or black, or it may "reverse out" to white onto any color. Use of departmental or other individualized logos is strongly discouraged and must always be approved by the Office of Marketing and Communications. Using the wordmark, the College has adopted definite consistent specifications for letterheads, envelopes, business cards, and other components of Meredith's official stationery program. For usage of other logos or identifiers related to programs at Meredith College (i.e., The Meredith Center for Women in the Arts), please contact our office.

Typography
The College has adopted typographic standards for its communications. These type families were selected to support and enhance the College’s visual identity. For additional information regarding typographic design, please contact our office.

Stationery and Business Cards
Marketing and communications redesigned all College letterhead, business cards, and various other stationery with the new Meredith College wordmark in 1993. It is important that all faculty and staff of the College use this stationery and that it not be changed or manipulated in any way. It is printed by a local printer on a contractual basis, and low prices are available (keep in mind that business cards will be less expensive if several different cards are printed at the same time). Orders may be placed with the Copy Center.

Design and Printing Turnaround Times
All work requested must be supplied on disk (Microsoft Word); the Marketing and Communications staff cannot begin a project until the disk is received. Due to workload, marketing and communications cannot accept RUSH projects. A production schedule will be set at the time of your request.

The Office of Marketing and Communications is committed to providing excellent and timely service to our clients. Therefore, during periods of peak workload, services are provided according to the following priorities: publications used in College-wide admission programs or recruitment of new students, general College information publications, and publications used off-campus for fundraising.

Please allow ample time for creating, proofing and printing of your project.
