Meredith College News and Events
Meredith College offers you the complete collegiate package – challenging academic programs, excellent faculty, beautiful campus, and a time-honored reputation for quality. Meredith's undergraduate programs continue the College's tradition of educating women to excel. Meredith’s graduate and professional certificate programs inspire women and men to enhance their careers with flexible, student-centered courses.
Freshman Applicants
We look at the quality of your academic record. In general, we expect applicants to have taken a challenging academic program, including honors, advanced placement or international baccalaureate level work. Applicants should have at least a strong C average (we use an unweighted grading scale) in English, foreign language, mathematics, history, social studies and natural sciences.
We ask for standardized test scores. In recent years, the middle 50 percent of enrolling students at Meredith have scored between 950 and 1150 on the SAT and 18 and 24 on the ACT. We also ask for recommendations from a school offi cial and a teacher who has taught the applicant in an academic subject in 11th or 12th grade.
Freshman Admission Programs
We offer two freshman admission programs: Early Decision and Regular Decision. Early Decision is designed for students who are ready to withdraw applications to other schools and enroll at Meredith. Regular Decision candidates should apply during fall and early winter of their senior year. Decisions begin on a rolling basis in early November.
You are invited to visit the campus, to talk with admissions counselors, professors, and students. Or, give us a call or send us an e-mail for fast, friendly answers.
Meredith College admits qualified women students without regard to race, creed, sexual orientation, national or ethnic origin, age or disability.
