Psi Chi Sponsoring Angel Tree Project

The Meredith College Chapter of Psi Chi, the national psychology honor society, is sponsoring an Angel Tree project this holiday season.

This year, there are two Angel Trees at Meredith. According to Psi Chi President Beth Loy, the project will benefit children and families in the Triangle area.

“We are working with Walnut Creek Elementary School and a trauma center in Durham,” Loy said. “The age range of participants is from newborn to adult parents. Entire families are being sponsored through the trauma center and the children from the school families are receiving gifts.”

The goal is for each child to receive clothes and a toy for Christmas this year. The Angel Tree effort is Psi Chi’s fall service project.

Trees are located in Ledford and The Oaks 1st floor Common Room. Gifts are due December 8 to Ledford 113. Participants are asked to attach the tag selected picked from the tree to the package so Psi Chi members know where to take the gift.
