Author Sonia Nazario to Lecture August 29
Sonia Nazario, author of “Enrique’s Journey,” Meredith’s 2011 Summer Reading Program (SRP) selection, will present a lecture on Monday, Aug. 29, 2011, at 7 p.m. in Jones Auditorium. Tickets are required for this event, which is free and open to the public.
Because of the speaker’s connection to the SRP book, all first year students are being encouraged to attend the lecture, along with their student advisors and SRP facilitators.
Tickets: Tickets will be available to Meredith students, faculty and staff in the Jones Auditorium lobby beginning at 3 p.m. on the day of the event and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Meredith students, faculty and staff are eligible to receive one ticket and will be required to show a Meredith College ID.
Beginning at 6 p.m., any remaining tickets will be available to members of the public. Once the auditorium is full, guests will be invited to view the lecture from Jones Chapel.
A reception will be held following the lecture in the Johnson Hall Rotunda. This reception is open to all guests.
While on campus, Nazario will also speak during a Q&A event for Meredith students, faculty and staff.
