Meredith College Has Space Shuttle Connection Meredith College has a connection to space shuttle Endeavor, which launched on May 16, 2011. Valeria Nardi, who teaches Italian in Meredith’s Sansepolcro study abroad program, is married to astronaut Roberto Vittori. Vittori, a European Space Agency astronaut, is one of the Endeavor’s flight crew. Nardi teaches Meredith students in Sansepolcro each fall. The photo shows Nardi and her children watching Endeavor’s blast off, which took place at 8:56 a.m. on May 16. The mission to the international space station is expected to last 16 days and is the shuttle’s final mission.
