Meredith College Tornado Relief Efforts Continue Meredith College continues its efforts to support those affected by tornadoes that occurred on Saturday, April 16, 2011. There are students, faculty and staff members who have immediate needs in the aftermath of these storms. Donations are being collected to fund necessities such as food, clothing and lodging for these Meredith community members. Fundraiser
Clothing, Food and Toiletries Collection Drive
Items collected will support Meredith College community members and will also be donated to tornado relief efforts by The Salvation Army of Wake County and The Interfaith Food Shuttle. Collection bins will be located in Johnson Hall and the Cate Center. Student Leadership & Service Yard Sale
The yard sale will be held on Reading Day, Friday, April 29, 2011, at 2 p.m. in 1st Cate. Numerous items such as T-shirts, koozies, cups, and glasses left over from the 2009-10 academic year will be sold at reduced prices. Payments and donations can be made in cash or by check made payable to Meredith College. Meredith students, faculty and staff who have immediate needs as a result of the tornadoes are asked to notify Dean of Students Ann Gleason at 760-8521 or gleasona@meredith.edu.
