Hygiene Product Donation Drive Through Dec. 2

Meredith’s Campus Activities Board and College Programs Division are sponsoring a hygiene product drive for Passage Home and the Salvation Army of Wake County. The donation drive ends on Reading Day, December 2.

Imagine not having toothpaste to brush your teeth or soap to cleanse yourself. In any given night, over 300 women are homeless in Wake County and are facing these challenges. Sarah Phillips, a current Meredith student, is organizing this donation drive for hygiene products.

Campus community members can donate products such as shampoo, conditioner, soap, body wash, tampons, sanitary pads, toothpaste, toothbrush, deodorant, small combs/brushes and lip balm. Donations bins are located across campus. Donation locations include the Science and Mathematics Building atrium, 1st Cate, Joyner, Library, Johnson, Martin, and Belk Dining Hall.

Monetary donations are also welcome. These funds will be used to purchase toiletry items. Tabitha Underwood, in the Office of Student Leadership and Service, 202 Cate, will be collecting monetary donations until December 1.
