Meredith Presents How I Learned to Drive April 13-18

Meredith Ensemble Theatre will present “How I Learned to Drive” by Paula Vogel, in April.

Winner of the 1998 Pulitzer Prize, this comedy/drama is a tremendous achievement, genuine and genuinely disturbing. A wildly funny, surprising and devastating tale of survival as seen through the lens of a troubling relationship between a young girl and an older man, it is the story of a woman who learns the rules of the road and life from behind the wheel. The play is a potent and convincing commentary on a taboo subject, and its impact sneaks up on the audience.

Performances are Tuesday-Saturday, April 13-17 at 8 p.m., Sunday, April 18 at 3 p.m. in the Studio Theater of Jones Hall.

Meredith students, faculty and staff can attend the play free of charge. Public tickets are $10 general admission, $5 for students/seniors.

Call the Meredith College Box Office at (919) 760-2840 or email boxoffice@meredith.edu to reserve seats.
