Women’s Leadership Summit Begins Thursday

The kickoff event of Meredith College’s 2009 Women’s Leadership Summit will be held on Thursday, Sept. 24 at 6 p.m. in Jones Chapel.

The Opening General Session, Leading Women in Conversation: Women as Catalysts for Change, will feature women leaders in conversation about the summit theme, Catalysts for Change. Speakers include Meredith President Maureen Hartford and women business leaders from the Triangle.

The summit continues on Friday, September 25, 2009 with a daylong seminar designed to will help women unlock new ways to contribute to and lead their organizations and communities. The summit will bring together women from nonprofit, corporate, government and academic sectors for rich dialogues and in-depth workshop sessions.

Scheduled keynote speakers include:
•Marie C. Wilson, founder and president, The White House Project;
•Trenesa Stanford-Danuser, vice president for global communications, Origins Natural Resources; and
•Deborah Kolb, professor for women and leadership, Simmons School of Management.
