Sizzlin' September Concert Moved to Dorton Arena Meredith College will feature The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus as the headliner of the College’s 2009 “Sizzlin’ September” concert on Friday, Sept. 18. The concert will be held at Dorton Arena on the NC State Fairgrounds. Doors will open at 7 p.m. for the show, which will begin at 8 p.m. with opening band Fit for Rivals. The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus has a sound as unique as its name. With songs ranging from the fast-paced electric strains of “You Better Pray” to the melodic vocals of “Your Guardian Angel” this band has something for everyone. The show is Meredith's fifth annual “Sizzlin’ September” concert. The concert is sponsored by the Meredith College Campus Activities Board. Free parking is available at the fairgrounds. Alcohol, coolers and outside food and drinks are prohibited at the show. Food and drinks will be available for sale at the concert. Tickets are still available in the Office of Student Leadership and Service (202 Cate Student Center) or at Dorton Arena on the night of the show. Tickets are $5 for Meredith students, faculty or staff, and $10 Public. Cash and checks payable to Meredith College are accepted (no credit cards please).
