Meredith Tennis On The Way to NCAAs Meredith College held a victory celebration to honor the Avenging Angels tennis team for winning the USA South Athletic Conference Tennis Tournament Championship for the first time in school history. The event was held May 7 in the Johnson Hall rotunda. Members of the tennis team were recognized for their excellence in winning the USA South tournament. As part of the celebration, team members, coaches and Meredith administrators were presented with USA South championship T-shirts and the conference championship trophy was on display. At the conclusion of the event, the team departed for the NCAA tournament in Lexington, Va. The team will face Gwynedd-Mercy College on Friday at 2 p.m. on the campus of Washington & Lee University. This is the third appearance for the Avenging Angels in the NCAA tournament and second in three years under the guidance of Head Coach Kelly Weaver.
