Meredith Hosting Business Attire Fashion Show Meredith College’s School of Business will host a fashion show with a twist on Wednesday, Feb. 18 at 6:30 p.m. in Kresge Auditorium. Rather than the latest fashions, the show is intended to illustrate the “dos” and “don’ts” of appropriate business wear, including a demonstration of proper (and improper) hair, make-up and accessories. “We want to help students understand how their image will affect their success in interviews, career fairs and in the workplace,” said School of Business faculty member Kristy Eubanks, advisor of Meredith’s Society for Human Resource Management. Admission for the show is $1. Proceeds will benefit Dress for Success, a non-profit organization that has served more than 400,000 women internationally by providing them with business-appropriate clothing, mentoring and professional development programs. Meredith alumna Pat Nathan is the founder of the organization’s Triangle chapter. Date Submitted: 2009-02-18 |
