Meredith International Film Series: The Meredith International Film Series, scheduled throughout the 2008-09 academic year, concludes with its fourth installment this Sunday night, February 22, at 7 p.m. in Kresge Auditorium. “Maria Full of Grace” a film from Colombia, will be shown. “Maria Full of Grace” (2003) weaves a gripping narrative of risk, determination, survival, and redemption as it follows a bright and brave young woman on a life-threatening, life-changing odyssey from Colombia to New York when she accepts a job transporting heroin as a drug mule. This film qualifies as a convocation/cultural event in general education. The Meredith International Film Series is free and open to the public. The Meredith International Film series was designed to provide an opportunity to view four films set in locations around the world. It is coordinated by the School of Humanities and Social Sciences and supported by a grant from Meredith’s Diversity Council, with additional sponsorship from the Office of International Programs, the Meredith International Association, and the Muslim Student Association.
